Chateau Falaise Kitchen

Description

Closeup render of one of the rooms we recently created for our clients.

The Image is showing the kitchen of chateau Falaise, around 12th century. The Image has been rendered with Lightwave11.

Visitors of chateau Falaise will later be able to view this on their Ipad when entering the room and they can turnaround the tablet to rotate the view and zoom to discover how the room has looked in the past.

Because of the size of the project (there was/still is much more to do in short time), I was not able to do everything alone or with just one co worker like usual for bigger projects. Therefore, parts of the modelling has been done by Henning Kleist, Stephan Friedrich, David Schatton and Iain Collins (thank you all a lot for the great work!).

I love this. A feeling of closeness and rustic familiarity, and worlds in ages past built around food and social experience in different times. The expectation of people sitting down and enjoying themselves, or the old-school effort of preparing a large traditional meal. The choice to have the candle unlit is very interesting and I think how you portray its effects in the ambient environment accurately illustrates lighting conditions from times past.
